The Asus ROG Phone 3. The Game Changer.
As they have mentioned in their site the “ROG Phone 3 is the most powerful gaming phone to use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G Mobile Platform with advanced 5G mobile communications capabilities”. There are a lot of phones that launched with the Snapdragon 865 plus so I personally think this is a bit overkill for a gaming phone. Considering the spec of this phone you can be sure that you are paying a serious amount of cash for this.
Hey, I’m still saving up for the ROG Phone 2, and this new phone drops. As a PC Gamer, I don’t get the idea of an overpowered gaming phone. When there is not enough games that can seriously utilize this much of a power that the ROG Phone 3 packs. Don’t get me wrong, I love the Asus ROG line from their desktops to laptops and peripherals, I would consider this phone as more of a “I’m a Gamer” status symbol rather than a functional phone. Rather it’s a gaming device with a smartphone functionality.

The ROG Phone 3 has a 64MP camera and 8K video recording! I would say that the triple camera setup which is becoming a standard on smartphones nowadays looks awesome on paper though I have yet to test it. I’m planning on getting one to test. Then again I can’t see any other big difference from the ROG Phone 2 aside from the CPU and GPU from Snapdragon 855 to 865 and from Adreno 640 to Adreno 650 and with WIFI 6 support I would say this really a superb piece of equipment but no 3.5mm jack you need the AeroActive Cooler 3 for that.
I would consider buying this phone but I won’t upgrade till after 5 years or more.
